Fantastic plastic alternative!

With all the hype about BPA in baby bottles and the doubts about whether BPA-free plastics are actually safe, parents can get very nervous about what is safe to use for their little ones. Glass is a wonderfully safe option as it is completely inert, but it is not always practical – I’m thinking here of babies getting to that delightful age where they throw everything just to watch you pick it up!

So I was very excited to receive a Green.Kid Stainless Baby Bottle to review. It is BPA Free, Pthalate Free, Lead Free, PVC Free and Non leaching. Founded in 2010 by parent-team Annelize Geldenhuys, Jackie Lowe and Shannon Lowe, Green.Kid stainless was created out of the desire to bring a 100% safe solution to the concerning problems posed by using plastic baby bottles to feed our children.
Armed with the knowledge of the hidden dangers found in most baby bottles, they set out to find a revolutionary, eco-friendly and modern approach to baby and child feeding gear.

And so, Green.Kid Stainless was born…
Made from 100% 18/8 Stainless steel, they are lightweight and unbreakable. The ergonomic design and retro styling gives you the ultimate feeding solution for modern parents everywhere!

I was sent a Miami Pink 300ml bottle to review. The product looks adorable with the Green.Kid logo and tree printed on the bottom. It comes with a normal bottle teat and a ‘sippy cup’ type teat for older kids. I usually use Avent bottles for my daughter and her Avent teat fitted in the cap beautifully (though when I tried her with the teat provided, she drank from that too). Both teats provided are really soft and flexible. She loved drinking from the bottle and my boys were so impressed that she had a stainless steel bottle to match our water bottles. The large bottles retail for R129.99 and the 150ml bottles sell for R115.99 from their website so they are very competitively priced. The bottles are also endorsed by Cansa and a portion of proceeds go towards the organisation

I am so impressed with this proudly South African product!

*I was not reimbursed for this review. I received one 300ml bottle from the company
